Liverpool is not just home to The Beatles and my husband's favorite football club (Everton) it's also a vibrant city rich in history and culture. Whether you're a music lover, sports enthusiast, or museum buff, Liverpool has something to offer everyone!

Of course The Beatles are everywhere!
From the Cavern District and the club by the same name that made The Beatles world-famous to the quartet walking along the modern harbor front, Beatles-mania is still alive and well in Liverpool! In fact, Our hotel was called the Hard Days Night and we stayed in the Rubber Sole Suite (a rare occasion when I let the husband choose the hotel 🙄🎶). The location was fab, I will admit!

Everton vs. West Ham

I am a sucker for tradition and love that Everton still plays in the old stadium of Goodison Park (small by today's standards) in the working class neighborhood of Walton. Last chance for Goodison Park, because this summer the club moves to their swanky new £800M waterfront digs. Even though I'm not much of a football fan, the match was exciting with 7 goals and Everton coming out on top. Appropriately, we headed to the pub across the street with our fellow revelers for a celebratory pint.
Beyond the museums- making gin!
THE GIN LAB

Visiting the Tate and Museum of Liverpool makes for thirsty work, so it was the perfect time for us to try our hand at making a gin of our very own at Liverpool Gin Factory! Spices and aromatics were placed before us and. we set out smelling and concocting two different flavors, one warm and earthy and the other citrusy and floral. We relaxed with a G&T while our creations were distilling. The time of truth- DELISH! I think we did well for novices. This was a fun way to spend a boozy afternoon complete with a drinkable keepsake.

Dining

As a big Beatles fan, I would have loved this trip...who knew Liverpool had so much to offer! So cool that you have your own gin bottles as keepsakes too.
