Do you find yourself saving wine corks for reasons unknown only to throw them out months or years later? Craft enthusiasts aside, here are 2 brilliant, simple and practical ways to repurpose and up-cycle those versatile stoppers so the wine memories live on!

Tip 1- Don't get burned!

Where's the oven mitt or kitchen towel when you need it? The hot lid handle is no problem with this quick tip. Just slide three of your favorite corks and place them under handle for a quick and easy grab, burn-free! If the corks are a little loose, invert the lid into a cup or bowl of water overnight or until the corks have absorbed enough water to be stable.
Extra credit- you'll be seeing these corks often so choose them wisely and they'll elicit a fond memory. ☺️
Tip 2- Insulate and decorate!

If your cellar has a boring drab wall why not amp up the wine vibe with a cork wall? A bonus, adding this design element provides a layer of insulation to the adjacent room, which in our case is a hot and humid garage.
Get started now! This project takes years of wine-infused nights and likely enlisting the help of friends for cork donations!
